Octa began with a simple problem: tablets were becoming powerful enough to go anywhere, but they were still awkward to hold, prop up, and position for real work and everyday life.
In 2010, Kevin Prometheus Trotsky, known as Pro, was performing at a live event and found himself hunched over a laptop. The first iPad had just arrived, and he saw what tablets could become if they had the right physical support: a screen that could float where you needed it, instead of forcing your body to work around it.
A Modular System
Octa was built around one idea: the best tablet mount is not a single stand. It is a system. A Spider grips the tablet. A MonkeyTail bends for bed, couch, and travel. A Clamp attaches to rails, counters, desks, and stands. A Gravity Plate creates a stable tabletop base. Bridge and Bridge 360 add reach and precise positioning.
