Tablet Stand Praised as Interesting
February 2, 2012HardwareSphere calls Octa’s Vacuum Dock + WhaleTail interesting and cute while expanding on the tablet accessory’s functionality. It’s the all-in-one solution it’s a tablet stand, grip, and handle, which will work on your iPad or e-reader.
More than just noting that the Vacuum Dock + WhaleTail is both interesting and adorable, HardwareSphere notes it’s functionality. It can be used as a tablet stand on any plane and at any range of angles.
The TabletTail system all starts with the Vacuum Dock. Place the Vacuum Dock against the backside of your iPad, tablet, or e-reader and give it a few pumps. Four or five easy pumps should do the trick, and it will adhere for a minimum of six hours without re-pumping and hold up to 60 pounds! The Vacuum Dock can be used alone as an iPad grip. It’s dome shape is made to fit perfectly in the human hand at rest, which is especially good for use while reading on your Kindle or Kindle Fire.
If you want to use the TabletTail as a tablet stand or handle, simply remove the little plastic Dome Cap from the Vacuum Dock, and click the WhaleTail on. The Vacuum Dock + WhaleTail functions as a tablet stand at any range of angles, high or low, on any plane, vertical or horizontal. The twin flukes can even be adjusted for added stability.
Thread the WhaleTail between your fingers and you’ve got an iPad handle! The tail can be curled tightly around the back of your hand for support. For additional stability, just curl the twin flukes in towards your wrist. Now you’re free to move around with your device without the fear of dropping it.
The whole system including the Vacuum Dock, Dome Cap, and WhaleTail comes with a drawstring bag made out of a special screen-cleaning material. Octa will be releasing additional tails throughout 2012, which will all be interchangeable with the Vacuum Dock + WhaleTail.
