iPad Stand Admired by Apple’N’Apps for Engineering Prowess

January 17, 2012

Apple’N’Apps’ Trevor Sheridan stopped by Octa’s booth at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show for a demonstration of the Vacuum Dock + WhaleTail iPad stand. He called the iPad accessory the best way to hold an iPad or tablet. It’s comfortable and secure! He lauded both the innovativeness and the engineering prowess of the TabletTail, calling it interesting and practical.

Let Octa’a Jesse Poulin demonstrate how to use the TabletTail fas the perfect iPad stand. Watch as he pumps the Vacuum Dock a few times, suctioning it easily on to the back of the iPad. Octa’s Vacuum Dock can hold up to 100 pounds! He bends the WhaleTail over the back of his hand making an easy and comfortable iPad handle. He then removes the Vacuum Dock easily from the back of the iPad by lifting up two small tabs. Jesse shows us the gear interface that will be used to interchange other tails. He then uses the WhaleTail extension as an iPad stand. It has an incredible range of angles, propping the iPad up both vertically and horizontally at any degree! What tails will they come out with next? Wait and see… a variety will be released throughout 2012.

This magnificent device comes in three pieces: the Vacuum Dock, WhaleTail and Dome Cap. The set comes perfectly packaged in a bag that can be used to wipe down your screens! Why look for just an iPad stand when you can have one that’s also an iPad handle? Use just the Vacuum Dock with the Dome Cap to cover up it’s internal gear system and you’ve even got a grip. And it’s made for the human hand at rest!
