iPad Handle + Stand Demonstrated for BuyMeAniPhone.com
February 2, 2012BuyMeAniPhone.com’s Tom Moccia stopped by Octa’s booth at Macworld and learned how to use the Vacuum Dock + WhaleTail with an iPad 2. It’s an iPad stand, it’s an iPad grip, it’s an iPad handle!
Watch and learn how the amazing Whale Tail attaches easily to your iPad or other tablet and serves as a super-configurable iPad stand. Octa’s cofounder Nikki Akasha demonstrates how the first product in the TabletTail line — the Vacuum Dock + WhaleTail — attaches to the back of an iPad with Octa’s vacuum suction technology. She places the versatile accessory against her iPad, gives it a few pumps, and it’s attached! The Vacuum Dock +WhaleTail can hold up to 60 pounds for a minimum of six hours without re-pumping.
Nikki demonstrates how the tail can be used to mold around the hand, creating the perfect iPad handle. You can even bend the twin flukes in towards your wrist for added support! She then demonstrates how you can change the WhaleTail from an iPad handle into a tablet stand, simply by bending the tail. Watch as the Whale Tail is set to position your iPad perfectly for viewing, typing, and more. She starts by using the WhaleTail as a high angle stand, then shows how it can be bent further into a low angle stand for more lateral support.
Remove the tail leaving only the Vacuum Dock, and you’ve got a perfect hand-sized grip on the back of your iPad. This is a travel solution because of it’s size. Carry it with you in the drawstring back that comes with the system — it’s made out of a special screen-cleaning material!
There will be a variety of other tails released throughout 2012, all of which will be completely interchangeable with the Vacuum Dock + WhaleTail.
The Whale Tail truly is the perfect iPad handle.
